It was a surprise he came to thailand!!! as representative of ldh’s artists! Came with Hiro-san to support his kohai aaaa

At the press conference, he introduced himself in thai (translate: Hello, my name is Naoto. It’s nice to meet you all today) a bit of struggle but he said it all correct and clear! Still he wasn’t sure if he said it right so he turned to the MCs and once they confirmed it was correct, he looked so relieved and proud of himself😭 you did well naoto-san😭😭😭

It tugs, sometimes. Curious and foolish.

That traitorous heart mana of his, reaching out, drawing in, seeking connection in the way that's in their blood, their soul, their nature. Synchronicity.

Rei's not known it, before.

Where other demons might be attuned to family, Rei has no one to claim the spot. So, his heart mana sings, unblemished, its lonely little sonata, the song of his homeland. All there is to him, granted by air and earth and starlight.

He has so much to give, and yet, it isn't good enough. Discordant, they say. Human, they snarl, disgust evident in their tones.

Thus, growing up Rei learns to compose himself. Pushes himself to the brink in order to rewrite his heartbeat's melody. Puts himself out there, gets stronger, richer in experience, whenever he draws back. Over and over and over again.

Until one day, pushing himself past reason, he almost doesn't return.

But while he hasn't been looking, a new melody has taken residence by his side. Soft and steady high notes, barely perceptible.

Morofushi Hiromitsu, faded, yet giving himself so generously.

Rei hears him, takes him in and amplifies the notes he's given, until others may do so, too. Until Hiro may do it himself.

Their hearts mana, separate but inseparable, resonating in response.

And Rei's called back home.

Rye is low notes, a deep bass, slow and steady.

He could enrich their harmony, if only he wasn't so gratingly offbeat.

Rye's unrefined and ever-contradicting himself. Cold and uncaring, yet bleeding red like the rest of them. A long-ranged combatant, always too close. The smartest fool Rei ever has had the displeasure of meeting.

He takes Rei's heart mana greedily, gives it back tenfold.

Then he takes Scotch's, and their tentative song, not yet given voice, dissolves into dissonant whispers.

When they meet again, Rei doesn't want to feel Akai's heart mana for the longest time.

It's too painfully familiar, echoes of the past still trapped reverberating within. Misery-in-resonance almost dusts Rei.

It's his duty to be here, and so he stays, but there's others to preoccupy himself with.

So, he remains a careful distance away from Akai. Doesn't see the muted melancholy wrapped around him until it's too late, until Akai's almost gone dark and quiet.

When he heals Akai, he pours all of his heart mana into him. Their hearts still sing the same tune, after all these years, discordant notes and all.

The journey is too perilous to allow them senseless grudges. Their lives are one. If either falls, the story ends.

They rely on each other's mana like air, sharing desperate breaths like drowning men in a land that wants to drag them under.

What even is left of their individual songs? It doesn't matter, anymore. They've shared so much it really is one and the same, disjointed notes smoothed out through time and touch and trial, into an elegy for Scotch.

As they finally reach tentative harmony, they rip themselves apart.

.

There is dissonance in Demon Lord Furuya’s heart. A furious ache that even Hiro's return can't soothe.

But he has a duty, to his land and his people. He can't stop to rest. Besides, the one to replenish his heart mana, he who's grown so good at it over the years, has left, exiled by Rei's own hand.

Akai is a fool, but so is Rei.

He clings to the thrum of Akai's low warm notes, barely an echo within himself.

Da capo al coda, the cyclical rhythm of life remains the same.

Rei's still not good enough.

He's bested their best. He's saved the realms. And all that matters, in the end, is that they see his heart mana, and find it lacking.

But he's no longer the lonely manaspawn he once was. His song no longer just his own.

He's holding the position through skill and strategy, through force of personality. With the help of friends and allies gathered on his journey.

They'll have to listen to his tune, this time.

The key, of course, is an argument.

Their feverish crescendo crashes into mellow adagio - along with their lips.

Rei knows, then: if no one else accepted him, the boundless love in Akai's heart would be enough to supply his heart mana for as long as he lives.

It's exhilarating, to share every last bit of himself, to accept all of Shuuichi in turn. Synchronized in full, for now and as long as they live.

Pulsating, between them, the potential to compose a new melody, together. Point and counterpoint. Bright and warm and vibrant and home.

When he takes Akai's hand, leads him to the dancefloor, the festive joy of friends and family soaking the ambient mana with joyous ringing, it's enough to put pressure even on Rei's heart mana.

He can't help thinking that this should've been so much easier. But theirs has never been the easy way.

And it's not the conclusion, but the overture to their new life, together.

The waltz of their future, a thunderous symphony.

Hiro:

Lt. Mower: What is the worst betrayal your character has faced?

Hiro isn't a stranger towards how self-serving people can be, but by far the worst was Wakako. He grew up thinking he didn't have any family aside from a brother he was estranged from, didn't know that she was his grandmother or that his dad had been her son, estranged from the family, or that he has a half-sister. She kept an eye on him growing up, but always held him at arm's length. She said it was because she didn't want him to turn out like his father, that it was for his own good but he wishes she just would've told him, been more involved. She let him make his own mistakes, firm iin her belief that if he was determined enough he would dig himself out of them, and while that held true, he's always resented her for it. He put his trust in the wrong people and she simply watched.

Ares:

The Wasteland: How does your OC feel about the Raffen Shiv? Is it too harsh what the Nomad clans do, or is it fair?

Ares' view of the Raffen Shiv is less rooted in personal views and more of a practical nature. While she doesn't think the punishment of exile is too harsh, especially given what led to them getting kicked out, she's less "kill on sight' than other Nomads. She's the only mechanic shop around for miles, and as a result her clients tend to be an ecelctic mix, Wraiths included. And she knows that sometimes it's easier to tolerate their occasional presence in exchange for leaving her alone, and minding their own business. It would be foolish to raid a place packing that much firepower, at least on your own, and her no-nonsense attitude is at the very least, respected. If you bring her a car with blood on the seats though, expect an extra cleaning fee tacked on. She doesn't like the Raffens, but she also doesn't have a Nomad clan backing her, that allows her to pick the bigger fights, and still sleep soundly.

Demons of War: Is there a job that's left a permanent mark on your OC?

Mr. and Mrs. Peralez turned to Avi, when they started questioning their home's security, and wanted to investigate the death of the mayor. He'd previously been afiliated with Arasaka, and had experience with corporate politics/complexities, while not having current loyalty to any coorporation, and had slipped out of the limelight following his departure from the company--a perfect fit for digging up information that others wanted to keep secret, and to protect himself or them, if it ever came to that. He'd been communicating with an anonymous source since before his split with the company, feeding them information in exchange for Arasaka's dirt--assistance in locating his files, of which he could find no trace. It's the first time he met the mysterious Mr. Blue Eyes face to face, and shortly before he was able to connect his mysterious source to an individual, and the realization that he'd stepped into a mess even deeper in the attempt to avoid Arasaka's.

For Ares, it was the hit put out on Joanne Koch, Biotechnica's chief. She has her own reasons for mistrusting Corpos, and a group of Nomads reached out to her, seeking vengence. She's not tied to a clan, and doesn't have the same responsibilities to stay put and look after her family. Although hit jobs aren't her usual forte, it was something she never would have been able to refuse, particularly after she was able to locate the files on her mark, and learn of the death of the Red Ocher Nomads. Rather than electing to zero Koch, she knocked her out and delivered her personally to the Nomads, feeling as if they should be the ones to decide what to do with her. It's only intensified the belief that Corps can't be allowed to get too comfortable in the Badlands, and she's been open in discussing this with the Aldecaldos, stating that she'll in no condition be an ally if they side with Biotechnica. This has led to her relationship with Saul being strained at best.

Sekai: Every audition I’ve ever done  Taiki: At my photobook shoot when I went to the Hawaii for the first time in my life and I lost my money Sawa: I thought I was talking to my friend really excitedly but it was actually someone I didn’t know….. A lot of older people were laughing at me, but I didn’t realize until my dad came that I was in the Kakeyu. (tn: a Kakeyu is a pre-rinse you do before getting into an onsen, it is typically done with a bucket, and this water is in a separate tub than the actual onsen)

it's reassuring to know that ldh/hiro does have a concrete goal for their overseas expansion, to perform on Rajamangala Stadium

you can see the connection of alan and psyfe having their asia tours as one of the steps to achieving this goal.

personally as a fan im still pretty uncertain with their overseas expansion seeing how badly some of them were executed. but Hiro's speech after talking about their goal touched me.

he said (paraphrase), "I already failed once when we started the group ZOO. After that, we came up with J Soul Brothers and then later EXILE. It took us 10 years to get back into japanese mainstream entertainment scene. We wanted to make EXILE-kei something that lasts even if I'm not here. [...] It's not that I didn't have dreams to perform overseas when I was still active as an artist, we just weren't able to. That's why I want to make the current LDH become a company that will be able to help these young artists make it."

Watching Exile Pride and I just want the concert lore, guys. Presumably there's some logic behind the theatrics at the start, I'd assume you tried to match the statues and the elemental graphics to the members in some way.

this started off a silly vampire emory doodle but now i've got 2 or 3 aus circling in my head,, wwdits started airing again so all i can think about right now is vampires </3

1. "my roommate is a vampire😨⁉️" sitcom au where emory is a vampire looking for a roommate and hiro moves in and the whole thing is just emory failing to hide the fact they're a vampire (its very obvious but hiro is too polite to say anything. we've all got our quirks yknow) very simple and fun 😌

2. okayy copying a bit from wwdits here but au where HIRO is the vampire and emory is his soulmate. emory is mortal but reincarnates and finds hiro in every life, one way or another. hiro has to watch them die every hundred years or so and then they find each other again and emory doesnt remember anything but hiro does and like 🙈🙈 cycles.... fate always bringing them together. hiro trying to put an end to it but the cycle keeps cycling !!! maybe emory dies tragically every time they find each other and that's why hiro tries to avoid their fate but oughhjosufhsjdjsogush 🤲🏼 holds them. i love tragedy i love putting characters in situations <33 in wwdits this is played for laughs but i love heartache so!!!!! this really is just a "make hiro suffer" au

3. the same thing but em is the vampire while hiro is mortal. with their roles reversed i wonder if emory would seek hiro out, or if they also try to escape the cycle. this au needs a potential happy ending where they hire spectra or something to break the curse somehow and live happily ever after 🥲 i love this au but i hate it

4. au where they're both vampire hunters but then one of them gets turned and exiled >:) vampire x slayer it's soo classic and not my wwdits brainrot seeping through at all don't worry about it <3

5. au where they're all vampires in a vampire polycule. maybe they're being documented, maybe it's a mockumentary. maybe it's literally wwdits 😭 jk jk

Unlike Hiroyuki ,  Joren is more Down to Earth and Serious which basically makes him Seem like a Stickler often, Jorenis actually a nice guy who is Relatively calm As long a Hiroyuki isn’t Involved .

Joren has a  huge Grudge on Hiroyuki , according to him , While Hiroyuki was still Pretty much Giant Toad in mind and Body but rather Close to When he became an Ogama,He Attacked the Tsuchigumo Clan and a Ate nearly half the Clan this included two of Joren’s older Siblings Who died trying to Protect him,His  Sister who had Just laid a clutch of eggs and His Older Brother whose Partner became a “Widow”  and Exiled herself , This not  counting the loses of  other people he knew. 

But Remember Hiro dosen’t  Remember anything about what He Did as a Toad, Hiro dosent Remember Killing and Destroying a clan. So Joren Aggroing him and Insulting him Constantly doesn’t  make any sense to him . 

Even when Hiroyuki was Told he Said that he was 

“ a Giant Toad with Toad Intelligence and Toad instincts , It’s not like I had a  Moral compass. Now that I know that Bug Fae are Actually Sentient being. I’m not gonna eat them ,chill out.”

Joren Still dosent Believe that Hiroyuki or any other frog person wouldn’t fall back into his. primal Instincts so he looks Down on  them as “ Slimy , Lazy, Wart ridden and Slow “and unlike Hiroyuki who would Drop his Dislike for Spider as soon one treated him Kindly. 

Joren is Stubborn and will not waver to the nice Frog boy(Kareu)  who helped  him carry flour . Okay maybe alittle  . Most his Dislike targets Hiroyuki specifically  due his Laidback and Somewhat  nonchalant Nature .

But he is a Huge Stickler for Sweets and cant stand them being done Wrong.
